MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES/RULES OF USE

Restaurants:  Most of the Local Heroes restaurants issue a discount rate of 20% of the entire food total including appetizers, entrees, desserts and non-alcoholic beverages.  However, a few of the participating Restaurants offer a 15% discount.  Please be sure to read the offer on each ad for possible restrictions to avoid any confusion.    Please present your Local Heroes Card before you have completed your meal.  This will help facilitate the prompt final calculation of your dining receipt. No separate checks are allowed and only one check is permitted per table.   A maximum discount of $120 can be issued on each visit.  If your total check exceeds $600, the discount will be calculated only on the initial $600 in food purchases.  Taxes and gratuities are excluded, as well as, CA liquor laws prohibit the discount of alcoholic beverages.

Holidays: Local Heroes program may not be used on major holidays including:  Christmas Eve/Day, New Years Eve/Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Thanksgiving, Valentines Day, Easter Sunday, and St. Patrick's Day.

Tipping: Restaurant food servers and other service staff rely on gratuities for 75%-100% of their income.   Therefore it is appropriate that their tip be based on the total amount of the check before the deduction is made.   A tip of 15% of the total bill is customary - 20% for exceptional service. Your generosity will assure your favorite restaurants amicable participation in future directories and will be greatly appreciated by all involved.

Participating Local Heroes restaurants ask members to limit your party to no more six people.  Only one card is required for six guests.

Local Heroes benefits are not valid when used with other dining programs/promotions, such as coupons or discount cards.

Retail, Services, & Specialty Stores:  Your Local Heroes membership card allows you unlimited year round use on all published savings and special offers at all merchants, unless otherwise outlined in their advertisement.  Sale items and other promotions are excluded unless otherwise stated.   To make us of the full advantages of all the great benefits offered in the merchant directory, please review each advertisement and offer carefully.  Take note of any exceptions or certain conditions that may affect the use of your membership card.

In the unlikely event that any participating restaurant, service or retail merchant does not honor the published offer for any reason whatsoever, neither we nor any our agents are responsible.  Neither the Company nor the merchant member is responsible for lost, defaced or stolen membership cards.  We maintain the right to void any membership of any member who takes undue advantage of his/her membership and any of its privileges.
